[QUOTE="GazaAli"]19",i think the mx resolution will be like 1024x1028. the 5858 is more than enough. PSU, dont know.darx55a 19" widescreen monitor can easily support 1440x900..like mine for example ahh yea you are right, forgot about this. 1440x900 is alittle more demanding than the 1024x1028 resolution.
You should be able to pretty much max out almost every PC game on the market as long as your CPU is decent as well.

Are you serious? That's literally the stupidest resolution I've ever heard. So it's almost a perfect 1:1 square, but slightly taller than it is wide? And you actually wrote it twice so I know it wasn't a typo. Use your head... LOL

WTF are you talking about? at my college they have 19" LG monitors that are perfectly square. I'm sure they look perfectly square, but in fact the resolution would be 1280x1024 rather than the 1024x1028 which you stated. Therefore, the monitor would look like a square but actually be 4:3. Trust me, 4:3 monitors look square even though they're not.I'm sure they look perfectly square, but in fact the resolution would be 1280x1024 rather than the 1024x1028 which you stated. If it was 4:3 it would be 1280x960 or 1365x1024...Isn't 1280x1024 5:4?
5850 with 19'' wide screen or 5750 with 19'' standardmacronia5850 with 19'' will be wasted. To get the full potential of 5850 u need a good 1080p display. For 19'' and resolution below 1080p get 5770 and save some money.

yea man i said, i always mistake the resolution for 1024x1028, dont know why tho...
If you've got the money to spend, just get the 5850 and be done with it. Don't bother with the 5700 series, they won't hold up nearly as well in the future, and certainly not if you upgrade your monitor. You won't regret having a little extra GPU power. Remember- overkill is better than no kill at all! :D

Yes it is, people are just used to the 1600x1200/1024x768/640x480(4:3) resolutions that were around forever(cause of CRT) until this widescreen craze came about =)
[QUOTE="GazaAli"]1024x1028 resolution.smc91352the resolution is 1280x1024. I have one of them. I miss the 5:4 ratio
I remember gaming at that res...for way too long finally upgraded to a 1600x900 LCD in 2008 lol. Hung on to that CRT for way too long, still gets a great picture too. Got a lot of life from my 7600 at the time.

Yep just used to the 1024x768 being 4:3. Anyway, macronia, if you want a good answer to this question you'll need to tell us the exact res you'll be playing at. 19" could be a variety of resolutions.
