the first 1 is worth like 400$ but no physx !!
the second 1 is 350$ with physx !!
i am not sure about performance i meen which one is better ?
what do you think about physx , you find it important ?

PhysX isn't super important, it's pretty cool when games use it right though...the problem is that it brings down the performance of the GPU when it is used, it's really better to have a dual card setup if you are going for PhysX. Also the 5870 is the better performer when compared to the 470, and if you are playing games with heavy PhysX enabled, it's just going to increase that performance gap. Not a ton of games take advantage of PhysX though, but the ones that do (and do it right) it's not too bad.
Go watch videos of Physx stuff. Does it color you impress? Do you enjoy particles that blot your whole screen? If yes, get Nvidia, if no get Ati.
If you only plan on playing in Direct x 9 or 10 then ATI, You you want some more future proofing with Direct x 11 and tessellation and update to date physx then GTX 470.
Get the fermi if you think you need to collect on your house insurance.
Get the 5870 if you want a good gaming rig.
Despite all the claims concerning Fermi's superiority in DX11, 5870 beats 470 in ALL released DX11 games while running on 1080p or higher(beat even 480 on 2560x1600 in AvP.. with tessellation). The only case where Fermi actually beat 5 series on grounds of Tessellation(notice how I didn't use DX11) is Unigine 2.0, in which CUDA Tessellation is used instead of DX11 Tessellation.
470 also has the worst performance per power consumption according to this.
So, have fun with games or have fun with Unigine 2.0.
EDIT: Go onto youtube and look for some PhysX comparison videos, then think about whether PhysX is worth it or not. With a single card PhysX hurts performance quite a bit, and in a lot of(relatively speaking, there arne't that many in total) the PhysX supported games PhysX is rather glitchy.
Well lol heres an easy berakdown.
5850 - $300 and 2% slower than 470
470 - $350 and 10% slower than 5870
5870 - $400 and the fastest by far.
Its loud, big, and hot... That I wont consider so much into buying, but I did enter the sweepstakes hoping I would win one :P
lol @ physxabusedbunnyPhysX is AMAZING! Its just because its a NVIDIA exclusive developers dont use it,,,or when they do its in a half-arsed way.

It's only as amazing as the games it's used in. And that's not very amazing so far. I've been much more impressed with games that use Havok, like HL2 and Red Faction Guerrilla.
hold up there chief answer one question do you have an older nvidia card??

first card was nvidia 5600... i think and then 6600 from leadtek after that my excisting card is hd4850 !!
would go with 470 since it is better than ati card in dx 11 NLahrenWe all know that the 470gtx, the 5870, and any card lower than those two will never be able to play dx11 games with all the bells and whistles of the future (8 series gpus for dx10 games? That sucked).

I keep hearing people saying that the 8-series couldn't run DX10 games well, but I disagree. True that the 8600gt/gts and below were hopeless trying to run them, but some of the 8800 series cards were capable of running quite a few DX10 games well. My last card was a G92 8800GTS 512 (right about on par with an 8800GTX at moderate resolutions, faster in some cases). I ran World in Conflict in DX10 mode, Far Cry 2 in DX10 (Far Cry 2 actually runs BETTER in DX10 mode than in DX9), Crysis/Warhead in DX10 mode on all "high" or "gamer" settings at 1680x1050 over 30fps. Red Faction Guerrilla runs fairly well at moderate resolutions on the upper 8 series cards as well (8800gt and above). I was running these games at 1680x1050 without any real issue.
would go with 470 since it is better than ati card in dx 11 NLahrenSo far dx 11 is a minor upgrade imo it's no big deal yet. All the so-called dx 11 games look the same unless you pause the game and take screen shots. For that tiny visual upgrade you take a performance hit. I upgraded to the 5870 for dx 11 and I wish I had waited.
