So I decided that I'm going to get an eVGA 680i SLI motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188019

I went to eVGA's site and saw that the motherboard can use DDR2 533, but they only listed three types, and they also said that more may work but they haven't tried. Has anyone used DDR2 533 Kingston Value Ram KVR533O2K2/2GR with a 680i SLI motherboard?

I already have the ram from my old rig though, and i don't feel like spending 60-70 dollars for ddr2 800, i'm on a somewhat tight budget.

But still you're better off with the Gigabyte P35 DS3R.

SLI is a waste unless you have a giant monitor,i the one with 6 ram slots is the P35C DS3R.
