Anyone think this PSU could handle 2 4850s, or 2 8800GTXs?

Also, what's the deal with multiple +12v rails? Does that mean if you have a card that requires a lot of amps the PSU won't be able to handle it because it's split all its' amps up over multiple rails?

From what ive heard, coolmaster is very hit or miss and the price for that powersupply was way to high. Get the crosair 650w for $89 its very very well built and will easily power any of those two cards in sli http://www.buy.com/prod/corsair-tx-650w-atx12v-power-supply/q/loc/101/206178324.html Not to mention it has a rebate and free shipping

Yeah, that's what I'd like to know.

Would 620W power 2 HD 4850s? I'm looking at the Corsair TX now, because it's modular

Yes for sure. That's a great power supply. You need a mimimum 550W psu for 2 x 4850.

For one yeah no problem, the 4850 isn't too power hungry. Max TDP is 110W.

Great :) Yeah this PSU looks the bee's knees, and it's the same price as the Coolermaster, albiet 100W less powerful. I'm more worried about reliability, so as long as it can handle those in SLi or Crossfire, I'm pretty happy :)

Wait, So a 600W PSU will run 4850's in crossfire fine? I'm only getting one now, but in a couple months I'm planning on getting another.

Two HD 4850's in Xfire require AT LEAST a 550w PSU. I would say go with a 620w-650w just to be safe. As far as rails go, as long as you have a quality brand PSU it really does not matter. The only three brands I would ever reccomend to buy from are Rosewill (my personal favorite), Thermaltake, and Corsair.

I disagree with Rosewill, and OCZ seems like one of the best.

Rosewill is one I would recommend against, same as thermaltake, other than their tough power series. Now Corsair is good, but they are made by Seasonic (one of the best easily) and Channel Well
