well i need a decent graphics card, and ive heard that 76gt is good, but i found an 85gt for the same price. So i was thinking of buying 85gt but a review i read a long while ago said that 85gt was about the same as a 6600 but with dx10 capability. i also heard that 86__ is like a 79gs but dx10 capable. so which should i buy? 76gt, 85gt or 8600?

The 8600 beats both the 7600 GT and the 8500 GT, so your choice is obvious.

The 8600GT is the best out of the 3, it's about 20-30% faster than a 7600GT.

The 8500GT is about as powerful as a 7600GS, which is a crippled 7600GT due to low clock speeds.

I'd go for the 8600GT.

The 8600GTS is a waste of money, please don't even consider it.

If you can afford an 8600GTS, you should go for an X1950XT or 7950GT since they both destroy it.

What do you mean by fan or heatsink?

There's only a few video cards with only a heatsink, they are quieter but the video cards with both a heatsink and fan are louder but often cool better.Â
