I really like my Ipod touch but if your going to be using it for videos get a classic with 160 gb. Although the screen is not as nice as the other two choices you will save yourself from the hassle of constantly deleting videos so you can fit in new ones.

http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/cowon/d2/ Those things came pretty highly recommended... Windows/Linux/OSX detect them as an external hard drive, so you can just drag and drop whatever music or video files you want to onto there. They're not big on the hard drive space initially, but support SD cards for more memory expansion.

Unless you're going to be carrying all of the seasons of South Park on you at all times, you shouldn't really need the 160 GB Ipod. 16GB seems to small, so I think you're going to want to go with 80GB.

I'd go with the 80 GB Zune. It's screen in great and it fits the price better than an Ipod Classic.

Hmm thats funny, cnet.com rated the Zune above the ipod classic in 'best harddrive mp3 players of 2007'.

Anyway, Zune if you want the storage space, ipod touch if you want the features.

The only reason Ipods are popular is because just about everyone has one. The Zune is actually better in terms of quality.

My question to you is, why do you want to watch video on such a small screen? In my experience watching movies on an MP3 takes the fun out of it. But thats my opinion.

the zune 80 is a much better device overall id say, good navigation, great screen, wireles sync , wifi multiplayer games :D
and so many other things. Just signed up for the zune pass ( $15 a month and you can download all the music you want) and its very enjoyable. Sharing the pass with parents so we have used hundreds of dollars of music in one month

Well if you're using you device primarly as a video player go with the Zune.

The Zune supports video formats that the iPod doesn't and the supported file types can be half the size of the ones compatible with the iPod and they will look just as good on an 80G Zune. The Zune is also compatible with all the formats the iPod can use as well, assuming they aren't protected files.

The TV shows on the Zune marketplace are very few in number and there are no movies available.

You should download iTunes and Zune software and see which one you like more and keep both for the DRM files they sometimes provide.

Don't substitute my judgement for you own, if you find that you like iTunes more than the Zune's software get an iPod Classic, the iPod Touch probably won't hold enough for you.

Get iTouch, flash memory lasts longer than Hard Drive, and a drop will have less of a chance to break your MP3 player, not to mention touch screen controls to play all the old school nintendo and psx games, they also have motion sensing controls so say, you want to steer a car: you just tilt the iTouch, and also touch screen makes everything easier.

If you want it mostly for videos than the Zune is the obvious choice. It's screen is literally twice the size of the iPod's.
