Hello all and thanks for reading :) Im planning on getting the Inno 3d 8600 GT for my PC.When I read my mother board specs, however,I found out that its PCI-E x16 port is 1.1 Will this influence on my video on any way and could it run it in the first place? Sry for my bad english and thanks in advance :)Skylight47
PCI-E 1.1 and 2.0 work with each other, so you'll be fine. There may be a better-performing GPU within your budget though. What do you have to work with?

ultimate you speak the truth here an hd 4670 will eat an 8600gt for breakfast as will it an 8600gts.
No the 8600 GT was just a rather budget card. I actually I get about the same performance as the 8600 GT with my 7900 GT.Wasn't the 8600GT the worst ever card made by nvidia?
And I thought even the 4650 could beat that card.

This is very true, I used a 8600 GT for a while, it's not a BAD card, per se, but there's no reason to even consider one (even on a $30 budget) nowadays.Wasn't the 8600GT the worst ever card made by nvidia?

about the only reason i would pick up an 8600gt is if i was looking for a cheap upgrade from a really old card like a 7200gs, x1550, nivida 6 series
I'm using an EVGA 8600GT. Guess, I bought it about 1.5 - 2 years ago... on a system I built around 4 years ago.
It does okay. But, I never play higher than 1024x768, nor activate AA. And I generally overclock it to 680-700 (core) with Rivatuner. The default clock speed of 540mhz turns it into an extremely weak card, though (pretty much, useless, at the default clock setting.). Don't remember what I set the ram mhz to, but I don't think it's much higher than the default is. Textures tend to blink on and off if I mess with that setting. Too high of a core settings tend to give protection fault errors, if you set it too high, I've found. Drivers before last, even hated running at 680mhz for longer than an hour on a lot the games I own, but the last drivers seem to be okay with it set at 700mhz.
Don't expect going much higher than medium settings for games like Fallout 3. Can play F.E.A.R at max setting, though. And Witcher at fairly high settings. I never bought Crises.... so can't comment on that, but I doubt it could handle much of that game. I spend a lot more time playing older games than newer one, so I've managed to sit on a fairly old system (939 Athlon64 3000+, OC'ed to 2.4Ghz), and so far I haven't ran into a game to where I feel the need to upgrade for (even though, I really want to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading.) I think I can make my system last a bit longer, regardless. I generally play games like Falcon 4.0 Allied Force, Silent Hunter 3/w Grey Wolf mod, Team Fortress 2, Civilization... And none of those really require much of a video card or Processor to play, and are all timesucks. So... even though I really want to upgrade, I can't make up a good enough excuse to go through with it...

Me too, I use the 8600gt xxx, works fine if you're a big PC gamer like me... better off get a better card these days if you ask me. even if you have to pay a little moe.
I don't know why the 8600 GT gets so much hate, sure it ain't all that powerful but it plays games at decent frame rates. I used to own a 8600 GTS (which, based on benchmarks, puts it pretty close to the GT) and games ran great at 1024x768 resolution, I even beat Crysis and Crysis Warhead on medium settings/no AA and I had a blast with the games. It was a great budget card for its time and can still play most games.
