I dont like your pony. But I think the 8600GTS is good, its just for 100$ more, you get so much more. But have fun with your 8600GTS, its a good card.

Like I said in the other thread, the 8600GTS was made to have a CRAP ton of vertex/shader power to make up for it's lack of bandwidth. So you can play virtually any game on it. You just have to keep AA/AF levels down.

Whats your CPU and Memory like, you should get at least 1280x1024 outta the 8600GTS on Oblivion before it's starts going to fardownhill.

It looks pretty good. Nice unicorn by the way :P a manly decision when choosing a companion.

But, with everything on high and still able to achieve that fps is pretty good. There is better, but for the card that is pretty good. It looked pretty darn good from what I was seeing, everything was so clear.

8600GTS is longer and has a PCI-E power connector,performance-wise however,8600GTS is hardly better than the GT.

My 8600GTS can run Oblivion maxed, and I only have a P4 3.2 HT, and 2 gigs of 800mhz DDR (not DDR2). I GOT this card just so I could play Oblivion, which I have had since it came out, but my old 6600gt ran it like CRAP, so much so I didnt want to play it untill I got my 8600gts.

This it one of the nice little wonders of the 8600gts , when people that never tryed it judged it and said it sucked , we decide it to give it a try and you know what ? The 8600gts aint bad after all , for the price and the good performance :)
