if i do summer extra credit classes my parents will buy me a 8800 gts 514 mb gpu. but it last the whole summer and is 4 days a week 4 hours a day. so take away half of my summer for it? do it or dont.
I suppose it matters what the classes offer. Education is a good thing. So if you get a free kickass video card and learn something new along the way, its a pretty good deal. And 16 hours a week is hardly taking away from your summer.
Hmm, isn't it better to get some fresh air and do something outside, like.. get a tan maybe? (Well, I'm from Norway, you don't waste your summer on games in this country, if you live in a warm place, you might not care about the weather).
On the other hand, 8800 GTS is a really great GPU and those extra classes won't make you dumber. I don't know, man...
If they buy you that card after you've finished those classes, go for it.
Well you must be doing poorly in school otherwise your parents would not be trying to bribe you to go to summer school. My advice is turn them down...then you can flunk school and be a worthless slug the rest of your life. True you wont be able to afford a computer or games because working at McDonalds does not pay much. But atleast you will have had a fun summer. :D

Get a job you will be able to buy 10 gpu's, will have your own money to do what you want and you won't be stuck in school all summer, and like was already stated you will learn skills for future use.
You don't want to be one of those guys who is 21 finished college and you go for a serious job interview with no working experience, i know a few of them and well its pathetic.
