Is the 8800GT 512MB a good card for its price or are there other cards for the same price that are better? How about the 256MB version? Do you lose any quality when playing new games like Crysison 1280*1024?

It's a very good card for it's price, especially if you can get it for $250. :)

If you are only gaming at 1280x1024 I would consider getting the 256mb version though.

you can max out any game with it today on 1280x1024, exept Crysis. it really is a bang for your buck. i get decent frames on Crysis too when playing on mid/high settings.

the 8800 gt is a sick card I just ordered 2 of them to replace my 8800 gts 640mb. I think at least the 8800 gt should max out everything i throw at it under 1680x1250 rez i hope so
