8800gt superclocked: does it need extra cooling?

hi, i am fairly new to upgrading pc's and i am thinking of updating my graphics card.
My current setup is a athlon x2 6000+, ati 2600xt, 2gig ram, vista32, standard mobo and a standard dell fan.

i also have my computer on my desk, near a window, so air circulation is normally good.

i was wondering whether or not i would have to get extra cooling if i were to get the superclocked/regular 8800gt?

and if so what would you recommend?

help would be awesome

No worries comrade, it won't need extra cooling ;)

As far as my knowledge goes, the card desginers stock overclock the card enough to prevent overheating.

I have an 8600 GTS in a cramped up case and it runs just fine (and the cooling in the case SUCKS).

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to message me!

What specific card do you have?

The 8800Gt can be very, v3ry hot on the reference cooler, but most factory OC'ed cards come with a better cooler.

You just have to find out, try and fench the temps while you are on the go.

Im pretty much sure it'll be fine if you have a good case with good airflow.
