What are temps of this card if not overclocked it??
anyone knows?

i have the albatron 8800gt and when the stock fan speed is at 29% and playing crysis it reaches the number which is 106c.
when the fan works at 80%the temp goes to 80-85c which is very loud.
i am thinking of buying a zalman vga cooler and a new case with a lot of fans.
thats really bad.... I have mid tower now and I dont like it
I don;t look good and not so good ariflow..
in full tower you have lots of room and you can hide wires anywhere
and good airflow and jsut looks better and cleener..
why cant you put full tower next to desk?
btw what blue led fans are you taling about?
in what case?

You must have poor airflow in your case or some other problem. The 8800GT auto fan setting is set to keep the temp between 90-100C so if you are going over you have a problem. If i set my fan to 80% the temp is arund 54C on idle and 70C on load. If the temp hits 100C your fan should kick up to 100% if on auto.
i am starting to getting mad with this because last week i bought the gt and the next day i went in austria for business an i will return to my country this sunday. so i only tested the card just for a few hours and i didn't have the time to test my video card.
my case is old and cheap and i have the stock fans on it.do u believe thet my card is fauty or it's just the poor cooling system?

Probably the case. You should clean it and make sure no dust is blocking the vents. When your temps hit over 100C does your fan get up to 100%? You can test this with a program like rivatuner.
when the fan is 29% then it reaches the 100c when 80%then the temp is 75-85c.katseaz
It starts out at 29% but will increase accordingly to keep the temps close to 90C but not over 100C which is the high limit. It will not increase to get it below that point. You will need to use a program to monitor it or maybe you can listen out for it. it's better to install rivatuner. You are over 100C soyour fan should automatically increase to 100%.
What program are you using to see these temps?
I AM using the stock fan.the fan doesn't change it's speed automatically only manually.why?if i change fan will it change automatically? katseaz
Sounds like you messed up the settings.if it's on auto it will increase to maintain your temperature. Maybe you had it set to manual with 29% and that is why your temp got up to 106C

The 8800GT has memory issues at 1000MHZ (x2). I suggest if you get the SSC that you decrease the memory speed to atleast 950mhz. It won't decrease performance too much. Swiftstrike5
If you have to decrease anything for it to work properly you should RMA it. The overclocked cards are hand picked so it's not hard to get a bad apple.

EVGA went overboard with their overclocks I guess to say they have the highest clock speed. In the end it's causing a pile of problems.

Its not to run it, but long term use of memory at 1000mhz damages the card permanetly. Heres one link. There was a more official one made by someone who knows ALOT about nvidia cards and tests them all the time, but I can't find that one atm.
