You sure about that?
[QUOTE="JSDempsey"]Lol that Palit card is so ugly though.achilles614I'd never touch that. The quality looks like crap.
Uhm, take the heat stink off any 9600GT and it will look the exact same. Palit went and put a sweet aftermarket cooler on all their cards. It's worth the extra dough for the much better cooling.
The 8800GTS 320 is a a pile of horse crap vs the 9600GT and MORE expensive. This is a no brainer. Do you people even look at benchmarks before coming to a hardware forum? I mean seriously.death1505921
I don't trust Palit. Palit is the company that made a 1024MB 8500GT!

Palit is saphire. Only they make Nvid cards under that name.
Anyone who buys an 8800GTS 320mb is a fool now.
XFX made a 1024mb 8600GT, even though it can never use that much. You going to say XFX is untrustworthy too now?

yeah the 9600GT benchmarks are almost at par with the 8800GT the G94 > G80

The 8800GTS wins all benchmarks. 96 stream processors > 64 stream processors.

Okay buddy the topic is about the 8800GTS.
Please tell me you did not just pull up GS benchmarks
GO look at andantech and bit-tech. The 8800GTS 320mb is the worst 8xxx card out atm, the 9600GT is just below the 8800GT.
The 8800GT slauters the 8800GTS 320mb.

Thanks for calling me a fool death. I just bought the 8800gts 320 last week (EVGA) for $115 and I couldn't be happier. I am running all of my games at max settings without a slowdown and couldn't be happier. According to that chart above, the 9600GT and 8800GTS are darn close anyways, with the 8800gts actually winning in some games, while losing in others. IMO, you can't lose either way you go...not for the price range anyways. For a cheap card now, the 8800GTS 320 holds up quite nicely...and I don't care about playing Crysis, so every other game will run perfectly for me. Why get more now? I won't need another card for a year or two, and by then the 9600GT and the 8800GT will be a lot cheaper and there will be far greater cards out. Conclusion: I'll be more than happy with my 8800gts for a while.

There's already been 3-4 benchmarks posted in this thread along with the other showing that the 9600gt is overall better he can't really deny anything  i don't think a single benchmark using an overclocked version of a card proves anything now your just trolling please stop posting on this board[QUOTE="death1505921"]The 8800GTS 320 is a a pile of horse crap vs the 9600GT and MORE expensive. Hmm so just because the benchmark shows something in your favor you have to make a bold statement of there the best benchmarks ?? thats pretty sad i'll take the 3-4 over your single one anyday saying there the best is kinda strange considering almost everyone else thinks different even before this thread I've been here over a year and everyone says the same thing about them[QUOTE="mastershake575"][QUOTE="nVidiaGaMer"][QUOTE="death1505921"]Please tell me you did not just pull up GS benchmarks

You DO know that there are 3 different kinds of 8800 GTS cards right? The newer 512mb one is based on the N92 and out performs the 320 and 640 by a LOT. Enough of a difference that the several other cards actually land between them on the performance scales.
Please explain to me how buying a worse card for more money is NOT foolish? I stand by my statement.
9600GT
8800GTS 320mb
Seriously, that is seriously stupid if you buy a worse card for a higher price.

Because Palit uses the cheapest coolers, the cheapest chips, and only 1 DVI port. I'll give that card 3 months before it burns out. XFX is wayy better double lifetime warrenty plus they use good coolers and chips.

Proof????
The Palit has one DVI and one HDMI, MSI doesn't have any HDMI, they must be crap, by your logic at least,
which cooler do you think is better?
or
BTW you mock palits quality on heatsinks though I bet you havent seen this one
So to make a short story shorter.... Palit has exceptional quality in their heatsinks even thought they don't sprinkle glitter on it you don't have to mock it.

Jesus christ. Now I remember why I don't come here as much. Go ahead, get the GTS. It's your money that you'll be throwing away. Palit is a good company, the HS on it is comparible to an aftermarket zalman hs, and it has a god damn HDMI port along with the DVI port. It's called an adapter. They make those you know...
