I have always used Ati tool mainly because I owed ATi cards. However what difference would Rivatuner make? I mean I can see artifacts on games with clock higher then 605. Also I'm seeing on forums much higher overclocks I was just wondering if it's possible to push it more or do I just have a bad overclocker? On the other hand the memory at 1047(2094) is not bad.

Rivetuner v2.0 16.2 came out. Which overclocks more than the last version. I would us that one.

Not when you have a good monitor that does over 1600x1200. Yea if you're stuck with crap 1280x1024 or something you don't need to, try playing at 2560x1600 and tell me you don't need to oc.

A few extra frames on what!!!! You can already max out every single game out there with more then 100 Frames per second!!! Your exaggerating a little bit. You can only get 10-15 FPS avg in FSX on Max, also for future games, you might need to OC your card on some demanding games.

yeh why dont you try playing oblivion on full graphics at 2560*1600 even at 1680*1050 that game is beefy.
but yeh 8 series cards own, im getting on in a couple of week \o/

If your playing on 2560*1600... then youll be probably smart enough to get SLI. And I think its 1600*1200, not 1680*1050.... not sure.
A bit of an update. I managed to get the card to do 603/2160. This looks quite weird since I'm getting high memory but the core remains the same. Having said this the optimal clock from atitool is 603 however on 3dmark I can get it up to 620 without any artifacts. Is this safe or should I stick with the ati tool test. Is there any other software with the same sort of test? (ntune test doesn't work at the moment).
P.S In terms of performance and quality how do the extra streaming processors affect a game? Btw resident evil 4 on the pc is the ugliest game I have played, they just havent bothered have they...lot of fun mind you.

Well it's the Taiwanese version and it's called Biohazard 4 but basically is the same game. I haven't played the gc version before so I couldn't tell however other people are saying it has worse graphics than the gc (I mean they are terrible), there is no mouse support so it is a good thing I have a controller so it was easy enough to asign them and play.
