go for the 2900XT... (better drivers...) or the 8800gts320... that resolution doesn't really require the 2900xt... but if u have the $ why not?

go for XT 512 and you can go for CROSSFIRE later.

sure. HD2900XT is better, but is it worth extra money over GTS?

I had a X1950XT on a SLi mobo... The HD 2900XT I can say for myself is a WICKED gpu specially in Crossfire but you NEED a crossfire mobo for CF but a single will blow that res into the planes of oblivion.

i don't recommend you SLI. When you'll have to, you can buy mid-range card then, it would be better than two GTS SLI. It's around 30% boost on high resolutions, think about that.
