If what they say is true than it will be heavily optimised therefore I would assume that it will be capable of running it well. I have the same card so I really hope that it is capable of doing so.smokeydabear076
The card is so freaken powerful it would make sense. I read in an interveiw witht he devs that they can play it on a 7800 gtx. Which is incredable.

Yeah and that leads kind of thing leads me to believe that it will be able to run with Dx10 features just fine... I could be wrong though.:(Just about any mid-high range DX10 card should run it without much trouble. Crytek has said quite a few times that they havn't used DX10 to make the game prettier, but to optimize it, so DX9 and DX10 should look nearly identical, but you'll get a boost by being able to use the optimized DX10 paths which put a lot more load on the graphics card and takes it off of your CPU. We still don't know how much of an increase there will be, but everything about DX10 seems amazingly stream-lined, so we should start seeing high-end graphics hardware actually being put to a lot better use than we've seen in the past.
But I'm quite confident Crytek can pull off making it play well across a variety of cards given how well Far Cry was optimized when it was released while still beating all the other big hitters to the market, they've seem interested in making sure that they're on the bleeding edge of PC gaming features while still keeping it accessible. From the sound of things, the game is finished, but they're still optimizing it to make sure they get the best product out the door, and I applaud them for that, not many PC developers will stillactually stressmaking sure the game is running as efficiently as possible, they just rely on making sure it runs OK on the powerhouse cards on the market, and that's where the the PC gaming decline comes from.
[QUOTE="Wasdie"]Do you guys think that the 8800GTS 640mb will beable to handle Crysis?BounceDKEven the 320 version will run the game just fine. And please stop overrating Crysis when it comes to requirements, it's getting pretty old.
Tell me about it. I am not even worried about it and all I got in a 7600GT.
Even after being answered multiple times people still find the time to state something that has already been said 10 times already.justheretodl124No harm done in reinforcing the point with more information.

Yeah seriously...info changes all the time. Perhaps someone learned that the game will require higher specfications.
I myself have an OC'd on water7800GTX and I'm not even going to play crysis till I have a 8800GTX/Ultra. I wan't to be able to enjoy the game in its fullest.
Do you guys think that the 8800GTS 640mb will beable to handle Crysis? It may be a silly question because I am pretty sure the answer is yes, but you never know. After seeing the Lost Planet Demo absoulty destory many extremely powerful systems, I am a bit worried about Crysis.Wasdie
no doubt it will be able to run it at max. on my pc i got around 60fps on LP
8800 GTS should be able to handle it up to 1280x1024 with all settings high.
Above that resolutions I'm wondering myself as well.
