Saw this on Newegg, thought it was a good price (sorry if not), just wanted to share...

[QUOTE="GTR12"][QUOTE="C_Rule"]Wow, wish we could get RAM that cheap in Australia....C_Rule
You just want RAM cheap, why not everything?
Well everything else too of course, but I looked up that RAM on an Aussie site, and it's nearly double the price.Only one place to shop in Australia - MSY. 8GB kit is $122 for a cheaper brand, $142 for Kingston.

Ye, their price list layout is pretty horrible, though I'm sure you would get use to it. I really like PCCaseGear's site, plus they have pretty good prices.Just ordered mine from the Egg. Don't know how you got the $90 price to show, mine shows as $100, although I ordered @ $90 through your link. ^^
Damn I'm on a ddr2 system and want to order it for future use. Do you think it's worth it if I get a new processor and mobo by January? I'm tipsy and can't comprehend prices right now :(, but 89.99 seems pretty low.
i7 950 is $200 @ Micro Center. I'm using the cheapest X58 mobo but it is also very highly rated. Go for it.Damn I'm on a ddr2 system and want to order it for future use. I actually prefer MSY's layout, it may look messy, but just hitting Crtl+F allows me to find basically any component without the hassle of clicking through page after page of website. The PDF is fine, yet the HTML site is absolutely horrific on the eyes, and navigation is truly all over the place - looks like a job done by a 6 year old who's coding his first site.[QUOTE="C_Rule"][QUOTE="kungfool69"]Ye, their price list layout is pretty horrible, though I'm sure you would get use to it. I dunno i'm used to it now. Once you've been on it enough you can find what your looking for easily. Granted it does not offer any info aside from the product name and in some cases only the brand name which is very annoying.
It will only make a difference if you are close to using all 4GB in apps. I come close to that in games when I have Firefox open with its persistent memory leakage, so this helps me a lot. Some games use above 2GB of RAM as well, so this helps in that situation also.covertgamer78Can't be as bad as Opera. Atm, it's using 600mb. :D But I put up with it, it is after all the fastest browser, and everything else about it is great. The most RAM I've managed to use (with a game) was 3.5GB and that was with the most horribly ported game. GTA4 + Opera + WMP.

Chrome would be the fastest. Very slick.

I HAVE to use Firefox for one reason - AdBlock Plus. I can't live without it and I can't stand the proliferation of ads I see without it. There are a lot of other reasons I use Firefox but that is the big one. GTA IV was not ported well. Mafia II runs @ constant 60 FPS with AA for me with few exceptions and that is very similar to GTA IV.
Who needs AdBlock Plus? Google Chrome beta has that built in, and then you use Privoxy to block the other 80%. No need for chunky addons for firefox.

Maybe, but do you really need all of them?
Sweet... My hardware suggestion topic became a miniature browser war... At least that kept bumping it though... I hope many of you got this deal. If I see any others, I'll post them.
p.s. To the guy that posted about that i7 950, I checked out that site and it wouldn't let me add it to my cart. I guess it sold out, which at that price, it should.
I bought the RAM myself. If it states it is sold out or you have already bought one in the past then no, you can't buy one. Otherwise, you should be able to.Sweet...
