hi first of all thx for coming here,it meant a lot im planning to make my very first pc build with its latest new hardware money can buy, yes ive been saving up, if u notice my thread title said no GPU included its because i already fall in with NVIDIA and ive made up my mind to wait for kepler series hit the stores i live in indonesia not US,although price might not be too different but be mind that some specific type of hardware may not be available at my country while waiting for the gpu, i want to preparing for CPU-MB-RAM-HDD/SSD-CASING and NO SOUND CARD while we dont know how much power kepler high end card gonna need, i need to point out that im in no way want to do any SLIing now/future. so SINGLE FASTEST CARD is for me. while im in position to buy all the good things available but im still in no way want to throw all my money away for something thats not mandatory, so i hope all seasoned guys here can give me an input and warm hello to u guys from indonesia thanks beforehand, :) couple additional info - im dont understand a thing about OCing, so no OC for me -im gonna use 1920 x 1080p LED 3d TV 40inch SAMSUNG and new 23inch samsung monitor 120hz/3d.. still even the new kepler card gonna overkill im looking to invest in it =INTEL 2700K unlocked =msi z68a-gd80(g3) =Western digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache =Seasonic 750W =NZXT Phantom White =G.SKILL DDR3 PC12800 8GB SR2 Dual Channel F3 =Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (CPU Cooler) =LG DVDRW 24X SATA =Intel SSD 120GB

You don't need to spend that much without a gpu.

i5 2500k, 8GB ram, decent mobo, 1TB HDD, possibly SSD if you want, decent case will probably be like $600. I don't know US prices well though.

your PC should be pretty sweet, any 2500-2600-2700k cpu is crazy. Your smart getting the 2700k since it runs at a couple hundred more mhz then the 2500... since your not overclocking ever, you may as well get that... its not that much more then the 2600k.

SSD is essential for your OS and games, so nice you have that also.

I would get 16 gb of ram. I noticed smoother performance in some games, Aion for example had less jittering when using 16gb over 8gb.. even though the game iteself doesnt use that much ram. Let windows have lots of ram. As i am writing this I have 16gbs of ram on my pc, only 6gb are availiable right now, the rest 10gb are being used with a ton of apps I have loaded right now. If I was gaming I could just leave them open and still have plenty to spare.

I don't think anyone here can really tell how much its going to cost you since your in a different country. Just remember it'll cost you at least 500-600 dollars USD for the higher end nvidia cards when they come out.

if ur going to wait for the gpu then wait for everything. Intel's ivy bridge will be coming out around the time when kepler releases.

No 2700k isn't smart, 2500k is way cheaper and identical perforamnce in games. And what the hell do you have open to be using 10GB of ram?

why pay more for an unlocked CPU (ie anything with a k after it, like 2700k) when you dont want to overclock? just buy a 2700 or 2600 and save the money.

you dont need to bother with an aftermarket cooler if you arent going to overclock either.

and spending £150 on a motherboard with 3 pci-e slots is a waste of money if you wont be crossfiring or sli. you will have the same performance spending £80 on any z68 board. aslong as it supports ddr3, sata 3 and your choice of cpu youll be fine.

The MSI Z68a-gd65-g3 is a pretty sweet deal You could also have a look at the asrock z68 extreme mobo.

Because maybe in 2 years time you've learned more about pc hardware and want to overclock. A cheap cooler (I paid £15 for my 212+) will be quieter than stock and cooler temperatures are good for components.

Get an i5-2500k instead of the i7-2700k and spend the money you save on a better graphics card. The card will give you much better performance then the i7 will.

Get the 2500K anything higher is pointless, very little performance difference 5fps. Lose the 120gb SSD, waste of money. If you have to get one get at least a cheap 32gb one because your just using it for the OS. The other one will have all of your games. Better yet just get 2 normal 500gb drives and raid them. Invest more in the graphic card.

Also on the sidenote if you aren't going to do any OC might as well get the cheapest board that supports the 2500k.
