9600GT on a dell dimension 8400?

hi i want to get a new card since my ati x1300 is running pertty bad,will my computer hold the 9600Gt ? i have a 400w psu

im not going to say no because Dell Psu seem to be fairly efficent as they have GTX's on there 425 Watt ones atm.. it all depends on your system and what your running the chances of it working are like 70%...

Typically Dell gives you a PSU with just enough power to run what's inside of your computer. Based on my experience, my Dell is still fine after upgrading the video card, adding more ram, and an additional harddrive.

If the 9600GT doesn't require a more powerful power supply (check the 9600GT's specs), I'd definitely go for it.
