Any suggestions for an aftermarket cooler for an eVGA 9800 GTX? Something below 50.00 preferrably?
Any help is appreciated...thank you!

Thermaltake DuOrb. My 8800's went from idling 55C and maxing 80C ish to low 40's idleand never above 56C.
Here is an Accelero for $40

A thermalright Trad would also be a good choice.

You could pick up a Thermalright HR-03 as well. I love mine, but it is MASSIVE. It keeps my overclocked GTX280 under 55c.
Keep in mind adequete VRM (PWM, MOSFET) cooling is very important and is often neglected with the included heatsinks. I'm not sure how hot yours gets but just doo a little research before making a final purchace.
I am using these on my HR-03 with alot of airflow.

Make sure to clean off your vrms and ram chips very well before applying the heatsinks. After warming up (under load) they will stick much better.
I would recommend the accelero S1 Rev. 2. I use it for my EVGA superclocked 8800gt. I went from 56C idle, 82C load to 37C idle, 50C load. I used the thermal compound that came with it pre-applied. Make sure u clean ur card well with isopropyl alcohol 91% or greater so the heat sinks stick better. It has gone down in price since I got it. I payed $36.99 last november. It is $24.99 now. It is huge though. I cannot put the side fan in my antec 900 because of how wide it is.
It fits ur card according to artic cooling. http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2_&mID=105
Here is it on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186016
Maybe even get the turbo fans for it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186021
I haven't gotten them yet but they couldn't hurt.
Thermaltake eww? come now, that duorb dropped my temps up to 26C then the stock cooler.04dcarraher
Thats pretty impressive especilly in sli considering how much space they take up, I'll be honest. I'm just not a TT fan and there are better options out there, IMO.
A 9800gtx (65nm)runs quite a bit hotter than an 8800gt, keep in mind. Don't even think about running it passively with an Accellero S1.
