9800 gtx or HD4850?

with this motherboard its an nvidia chipset im not sure it can crossfire, but i think it can sli...i doubt i would be crossfiring or sli'ing but would the 4850 work on this motherboard?

Get the HD4850, it out-performs it in single card and in crossfire it out performs the 9800GX2. xid32

yes the 4850 is defintly a better buy better then the 9800 gtx and not to mention the uses less power electricity bill dont pay them selves u know!!!

Also if you go with the HD4850, which is a better choice than the 9800GTX IMO, take the Asus brand: 30$ MIR, 3 year warranty and Asus software for fan control so you don't have to wait for Rivatuner to support it. From the comments I read on newegg, some people were able to have the card run at 45C-50C C at idle and 60 C at load.matrixian

My 9800gtx is highly overclocked and at load dosent go much over 60c. At that oc Im sure my 9800gtx outperformes a stock 4850.

then u could over clock the 4850 and any peromance diffrence ur OC did would be nullified. if pppl can get there temperatures down to 60C at load then there a good amount of head room for OC
