Well idk thats what i saw when the 8800GTX was released. Their sales boosted & mostly because everyone wanted to play Crysis. Soon i started seeing Nvidia having alot more press conferences & then we started seeing "Nvidia the way it was ment to be played" on almost every game. Nvidia started going beyond gaming (getting a little egotistic at this point) & started developing tech for health (CUDA) etc. im not saying ATI sucks. love ATI, but as of now my preference is Nvidia until ATI passes them again.

8800GTX is ancient now. Three whole generations ago. Right now ATI just released the 5000s and nvidia has nothing to compete with it, they where taken by surprise and are playing catch up. Last time you checked we were in the 80's, seriously stop talking before you show how little you know about your dear ATI.The top of the line from the 5000 series struggles to keep up with an old Nvidia generation, the GTX295, sure ATI is cheaper, but not more powerful, so next time, do some research before saying OMG NVidia struggles man it must be because ATI already released the new generation of graphics cards. It's even worse when you compare them in SLI, at that time even the GTX260 enters the equation in this Nvidia vs. ATI war.
Considering price, efficiency, and the fact that the GTX295 is basically SLI on a board and won't scale well at all in some games, I would say that ATI is certainly kicking butt at the moment. Their architecture for their GPU's is simply better right now. Although I do want NVIDIA to get back into the game. I don't want ATI to create a monopoly and jack up the prices for all their cards like NVIDIA did when ATI was in a slump.
