As a single gpu set up they are the same. I am not sure about SLi. Maybe 9800 scales better. Haven't seen any benchmarks.

I swear its hard enough for people to choose Pc's and parts When Companies feed off of the ignorance of people. Nvidia all they did was slapped a new sticker and called the 9* series as a new generation which they arent. And the GTX 260/280 is just a add on for the G92's They are pumping so many types, speeds, and series in the last year people and dev's have to suffer. I mean the 8800GT is now the 9800GT and so on so On the requirements for games are going to be like you need a Nvidia card with 64 Shader processors ATI 128 or something Vertex processors etc. Too many different configurations and alot of people dont know what are the tech specs of their stuff to begin with.

Differences:
-HybridPower
-Possibly tri-sli support soon
-Will possibly be built on 55 nm process soon (it's still currently at 65 nm)
