9800GTX pre-release edition review!

9800GTX:

- 1024 GDDR5

- 512-bit memory width

- 3200 MHz memory clock

- 780 MHz core clock speed

Crysis Very High @ 1600*1200 x4 AA = 53 FPS.

So GDDR3 can reach speeds of 3.2ghz?
Right...

Also that speculation is close to 6 months old...

Edit- I see you meant to say GDDR5... but let me break it down why those specs are not true.

#1 The link CANNOT even spell "engineer" correctly, there is no way they are getting an ES.
#2 Doubling the shaders, doubling the memory controller, increasing the clockspeeds and doing all the above on 65nm would still put it roughly at a 200w TDP, let alone less than a GTS or under 140w.

Worth it... either way I use this for a pass time whilst downloading torrents so no biggy if I get a modded.
