I don't know how better the fps will be, but what is wrong with your GTX+? That is more than sufficient for now, cards come out mid September I believe.Ikavnieks

some games like crysis and velvet assassin is unplayable with my card at 1920 X 180

Uh, there's quite a bit a difference. I know this cause I have a 9800GTX+/OC version and HD4870's. (I don't mean crossfired either) There's a good amount of difference (Scaling/FPS/higher Res, AA, etc) to upgrade, especially for only $50 ? What are you waiting for ?

DX11 will be new and expensive I'm sure, it's definately not going to be under $200.

everyone is saying to wait for directx 11 cards, but its stupid.

Right now no game is surpassing the "crysis" benchmark. And none are announced to be released (aside from crysis 2)

When DX 11 is released you will need to wait a good year or more untill the tech is used. And by then the dx11 cards will be cheaper and you will save money. I say upgrade now to something of a gtx 260- gtx 280 level (i dont know ati cards) and just chill. :)

The point is if you wait 2 more months the prices of ATI cards should drop. Possibly the price of Nvidia's cards as well.

A 4890 would be a decent upgrade and worth it. but from this vid, going to 4870 wont help much.
