For gaming, what is the better card for a single gpu solution? No SLi or XFire. What has better performance from most games like Crysis etc...?

Thanks

If they are about the same price, then it's about if you prefer Nvidia or ATI.

If you look at pure horsepower, the 9800gtx has better specs but is a little more expensive. The 4850 does more with less, or that is what it seems when I read reviews and benchmarks and things, and it costs less. Based on cost I would say 4850 but the 9800 seems to handle itself better alone than ATI cards so my final answer is the 9800 but just slightly.

Yeah, I thought so too. Isn't the 9800GTX+ competing with the HD4870 not the 50?

No lol.

I think you should get the TOXIC HD 4850, its pre-overclocked, and has a zalman cooler on it. Its about $200. Same as a 9800GTX+, but you also have head room to overclock the HD 4850 even more! From what I seen the results are 730-770 on the core, and the memory I cant remember lol.

If you look closely, tyoulsee that the oc'd version beats out the HD 4870.

EDIT: Here is the card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102760

No but there close. The 9800gtx+ can be found for $199 USD which doesn't include a $30 rebate so in total its about $10-$20 more.

Nice Card, if it can peform just as good as the 4870, I can be saving $70 to buy a keyboard or mouse.
