I want to get a better cpu cooler for my computer. Its between the spin Q or the v8.I want to OC my E7400 to about a 4GHz which will get the job done and no blow it up? If u have any other suggestion I'm open to them. My case is the Antec 900 but i added another fan on the right panal to blow in air so its much cooler in there. Please help me i want to OC and get it at its peak.

The Prolimatech Megahalems you place above your CPU and the Scythe Kaze is, I assume, a type of fan you clip on next to the Megahalems. I'm not really sure what push-pull mean either...I'm also looking for a CPU cooler right now...Whadd'a'ya think of this?:

I don't know...just go to frozencpu.com and find it and I'm sure they'll let you choose a fan.

Push/Pull is having two fans on the CPU cooler, one pushes air through the fins and the other pulls it away from the other side,

Megahalems are generally cheaper than a Copper ED TRUE, stick with it depending on your socket type(LGA775,1366 or AM2/AM2+, AM3).

For fans it really depends if you want performance or silence. Scythe gentle typhoons are quiet yet still give out good air flow, P12's are also a good choice because they have high static pressure. Generally speaking the less gaps between the blades on the fan can sorta tell you if the static pressure of the fan is good or not. Fans that have bigger blades and less gaps will have higher static pressure than fans with smaller blades and gaps between them.

Ultra Kaze , Scythe S-Flex ,NoctuaP12 Gentle typhoon. All good fans.

Ok what if i told u that the socket is a LGA 775 i dont care about noise level becuase i already have 6 fans blasting at it loudly. So what would u recommand for me?

I use the COOLIT Domino A.L.C in my Antec 900. It's a very good cooler and looks good inside the case too. My CPU stays at around 32 degrees. It isn't overclocked though.

if you wanc to oc the best get the prolimatech megahalem + two Scythe kaze push / pull after all ur seeking a high overclocking
I sorry if i lost you TC but Yes the Prolimatech megahalem will fit in a Antec 900 as it would fit in my CM 690 but it Great cooling as hell

Beefdog replaced is thermalirght 120 true for a Prolimatech megahalem with one scythe kaze the spec of kaze also named ultra kaze : 3000rpm static pressure 133cfm 120mm x 38mm

Mean while if money are a issue there alternative that cost half the price and no it not the notcua Nh-1up that guy showed for similary performances but it is Scythe mugen II + Two Scythe kaze is better : it sure many people complain of Scythe mugen II look but don't underestimate Scythe

Example : If Thermalright 120 True + Two Scythe kaze : give 51C : The Mugen II with same fan setup shall give 53C-54C And it should mean that prolimatech megahalem hit: 48-49C as it seem that :one Scythe Ultra Kaze + my cooler Thermalright 120 True Black with two fan clip was defeated by The megahalem + 1 Ultra Kaze (Beefdog)

http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/core-i7-coolers-roundup_18.html#sect0

The Cooler in the test seem to miss the max cooling power of there heatsink (push / pull with Two Ultra Kaze)

When I had my Antec 900, my TRUE barely fit in the case because the side fan holder almost got in the way.

The Megahalem is bigger than the TRUE so it may not fit with the side panel one. Or you may only be able to use one fan.

Can I do that to an AM3 Socket AMDPIIX4-965? If so, Where do I buy?; And: How do I power the second fan?

Power the Second Fan ? That I don't know Really I'm pretty clueless when it come to powersupply connection : but yes : since Am2 & Am2+ & Am3 are the very same socket design for put a thing it doesn't change beside a slight variant in pin for the cpu installation such as did 939 / 940 they look the very same : they support the same cooler : socket am2 / 939 :

but the difference is am2 can't be put in a 939 motherboard because it as one more pin (so don't fit in the socket) But i think ever since 939 : am2 : am2+ : am3 Remained the same Shape of Installation for a cpu cooler : and may not chance until new AMD chipset (Bulldozer)

While it True i heard antec 900 being having less space on Width of the panel side : then mine even tough mine can fit two 120mm fan
You can still try to put at least one Prolimatech megahalem + 1 Kaze : if it as more space : you can put the second after ward :

The top ul get from putting a 2nd fan is 2c more cold but after all you want to overclock E7400 around 4.0Ghz which is high Overclocking for cpu of that generation

True very well explain wildedge ;) : but in most of case i heard it make no difference for a cpu cooler of high-gammut with two fan if there a side panel vent or not from the left side of panel since the cpu cooler are generaly hitting from behind the output of the case (120mm) and in front of case place of HDD / DVD rom / Ram in some mobo

here a picture it will worth thousand of word ;)

There About the same size said people to me beside that the Megahalem is about maybe a little more Width on the Horizontal scale but should fit without problem You should go for it i guess

as it look here it should fit in antec 900 cause it a Super Mid Tower : While cm 690 is claim to have a little more space : go on it should work

Thats the distance from the CPU and the right side fan. sorry about the speaker just poped in the pic, but if u look in the back of the rig you'll see the last fan which is blowing out air as well.

it will fit no worry if by any chance you don't get to fit look why : and if you can't fit it : i said it should by as i know of super mid tower : but if by any small chance it won't fit : you can return the part in most of place you buy those t should be fitting cause people can fit that in CM 690

Will my case fit the Mega with two Kazers? cause i would like the maxium cooling for it. I believe my fans will do their job of spitting out hot air and bringing in cold air, We're both losing our words :P

Well that's why your CPU is cooler than mine. I've got the i7 920. It runs hotter than your CPU. I don't use as many fans as you either. I don't use the two at the front and I don't think my case has one the side. Only fans I use are the back and top fan and they aren't on full speed. There's nothing wrong with my system.

it should cause the fan are back-ward Horitonzal of the case and not in the Panel so should not be any issue to put Two Kaze : if one fit the other should fit if you saw my previous picture that i posted one of the True 120 & one of the Megahalems

Because as you increase fan quantity and fan speed you also increase fan noise. My PC is cool enough and it's nice and quiet. It's only a few degrees warmer than your PC.
