hey guys. my sister is going to start collage soon, and she is looking to buy a laptop. I already have one from Acer, which she can use but she said it is to big and heavy to carry around, ( the screen is 15.6" across) and will like to get something smaller, she said she will be living at home and said she only needs it for.

to get online, and use the microsft office programs ( or open office programs) on her free time im sure she will use it to get online for facebook and youtube. do you guys think that this is a good netbook to get for her instead of a laptop? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215873

on top of that i dont really want to over spend on something really good if she is not going to use all the power of the hardware. so something less then $500 is good price point I THINK is good. i know those AMD APUs like the C-60 and deliver that is why i went to that netbook instead of a full laptop.

Have you considered laptops with a 13" screen?

the c-50 is terrible I had one before and it could barely manage 720p videos. Go with an e-350 or e-450 at the least
