Ati drivers for the 4870 are maturing that doesn't mean that the current drivers are bad , besides nvidia drivers have tons of problems too, nothing is perfect

Well Whats more future proof? the faster card would be the good choice but it also depeends on how a game is geared more to a certain brand like Crysis which likes Nvidia more than ATI. 04dcarraher

Speaking of ATI cards, I'm trying to Crossfire my 4850's but the crossfire cable isn't long enough. Is there a place to get a longer cable? Also, I'm using an nvidia nforce chipset on my mobo, is Crossfire possible on that?Lionno

Since you already have 2 ati 4850 and want to crossfire them ,I suggest that you buy a motherboard with intel chipset ,I recommend buying an x38 or x48 whatever your budget allows , please start your own thread so people can help you on this.
