Hey. I finally have a day where I don't have any plans at all. I have all night to do nothing, and I really want to play a game - But I can't come up with anything. What I'm thinking is, I wanna play a game that: - I can get pretty fast (not newest releases - Prefer downloadable) - Is a lot of fun, and sucks you in - Can be old, can be new. My only restriction is - not too big (lol). Otherwise, is will take all night to download. Previous games I've played when I had a night like this was Limbo, Fallout 1&2, Legend og Grimrock. Thank you.

Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines is an awesome older rpg. The combat is a bit clunky but it makes up for it with story and other gameplay aspects. I think its only 1 or 2 gigs.

Bloodlines is one of my all-time favorite broken-ass games. In general I'm a big fan of computer RPGs based on pen and paper games because they are typically starting with a rich lore and well engineered role playing system. Bloodlines is a terribly flawed game and deserves every critisism that people level at it, but it also does so much right in terms of open ended game play, tone, style, choice, etc that I've beaten it several times over. I highly recommend it, in spite of itself.

If you -do- get it, check out the unofficial patches. The game has a huge comminity following and the fan-made patches address many issues.

Yeah, I had to install the patches to even get it to work. The haunted hotel part is spooky !

I see that you liked Fallout, have you tried New Vegas with Old World Blues DLC and some mods? Maybe try Mount and Blade or Divien Divnity?

Since you liked Fallout 1 and 2 i also highly recommend you buy Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Especially Fallout 3 (that was and is my favourite game) you'll easily find yourself playing into the early morning hours.

World of Goo and Telltale's The Walking Dead game.

Actually, any Telltale game, especially Sam and Max, the new Monkey Island and Back to the Future.

Hotline Miami, totally.

Or Bastion... can be had for literally any price at humblebundle.com/weekly.

Garry's Mod (Trouble in Terrorist Town specifically) is an awesome game if you have Half Life 2, CSS, and Portal.

Sword of the Stars: The Pit gets my vote. It's a great roguelike (turn-based RPG) that came out a few weeks ago, with a fun sci-fi theme, lots of guns, and the rare ability to completely absorb entire days without much effort.

System Shock 2 or Clive Barker's Undying. Both are available on GoG.com
