I am a first time builder needing some help. I am looking to build a decent gaming pc. Being a first time biilde I would like a little help finding parts that will work well together. My budget is $600-$800. I need everything but the monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The only catch is that I would like to take advantage of Best Buy's 18 months same as cash deal so I am limited to buying off of there site. I would like to build an AMD rig. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Best Buy is such a rip off, and they don't even have a decent selection of parts. Go with newegg.com, or if you can't buy online, Fry's Electronics.

Also, that "same as cash" offer traipses the line between a deal and a scam. If you really can't afford it now, save up. A decent computer can be had for $500-$600.

I would have to agree on this 1000%. Newegg is the way to go. One major reason - newegg.com has impeccable service. Their RMA/Shipping/Return policy is awesome, to say the least. And I wouldn't feel safe going with anyone else if I always had newegg as a choice of place to shop PC parts. I dont think Bestbuy could match the quality service, let alone provide you with the quality parts you need. In this case, I ask you to not limit yourself to only Best Buy.

Ok. I can just spread out buying the parts over a couple of weeks. I need to be in this price range including the OS. Thanks.

Anyone have time to suggest a build from newegg for me? I would like to use an AMD cpu. I have been looking on newegg but there are so many different options on every part that it's kind of overwhelming for a rookie like me. Thanks.
