a little low budget.want a fast pc with gaming not the 1st priority.

my good for nothing P4 broke down and im using my bros notebook.ok i wanna buy a pc which can do operations very fast and play hi def videos. also play some good games.i checked and this is within my costs

intel core 2 duo 2.2 ghz

nvidia nforce 630i motherboard

2 1gb rams (so my pc is fast)

dvd burner

160 gb hard disk

the games i want it to play are CS, c&c 3 tw,orange box and the upcoming red alert 3.

my questions is that if i add 7200 gs 256 mb (very cheap now) with these specs will i be able to play these games???can any1 give me some other choices apart from the above.thank you

Nope, what website did you get that from? If you take the time to learn how to put together a PC you can get more bang for your buck.

To play those games with moderate settings you will want a minimum of an 8600.

Several months ago a higher 7series card might have been an option, like a 7850. But with the number of DirectX10 utilizing games, and presuming if you buy new it will have Vista, you're going to want an 8series card. A 7200 would run those games you listed like a 1 legged dog.

Since you're not making gaming a high priority the 8600 is low priced enough and if you change your mind and want to upgrade later you can always spring for a far more expensive 9800, when they're out in numbers later in the year. This without having spent too much on an initial card.
