So, a couple of days ago I got these two really good games I completely love known as Brawl Busters and Team Fortress 2. Yes, I have Steam. With my crappy 6200, I run Brawl Busters with the lowest settings and with a slight lag. On TF2 I lag A LOT since it requires nvidia 8 series card. Here are Brawl Buster's system requirements: Minimum: OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7 Processor: P4 2.0GHz Memory: 512MB Hard Disk Space: 2GB Video Card: GeForce FX 5600, ATI 9600 PRO DirectX®: 9.0 C Recommended: OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7 Processor: Dual Core Memory: 1GB or higher Hard Disk Space: 2GB Video Card: GeForce FX 6800GT, ATI X800 PRO DirectX®: 9.0 C Here are Team Fortress 2's System Requirements: Minimum: 1.7 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX® 8.1 level Graphics Card (Requires support for SSE), Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card, Windows® 7 (32/64-bit)/Vista/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection My System Specs: Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) System Manufacturer: Dell System Model: OptiPlex GX270 BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A03 Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.26GHZ Memory: 2046MB RAM Page file: 926MB used, 5063 available DirectX Version: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Display - Name: NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Manufacturer: NVIDIA DAC Type: Integrated RAMDAC Apprx. Total Mem: 512.0MB Current Disp: 1920x1080 (32-bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Plug-and-Play Monitor My budget for a new graphics card is around $150-200. I've looked at graphic cards like 7800GS and 7300GS that are agp, but why do they cost so much. 7800GS costs like $350. I don't have an Pci-E bus slots in my computer. Sorry. That's why I hate my computer. I only got 4 pci slots open and the agp that I'm using right now with that 6200. Thanks in Advance!

I know that you probably don't want to hear this, but you should really just save up for a new PC. If you're dead set on getting an AGP card though, the HIS HD 4670 is the best that I could find...

AGP is so expensive because it's old and very hard to find. I think you'd be better off saving for a new computer. If you have to buy an AGP card instead of getting a new computer, something like thishttp://www.amazon.com/HIS-Radeon-Native-Graphics-H467QS1GHA/dp/B003CYKCG8would work. Granted, you can get cards that are significantly better for the same price if they are PCIe.

Take the money you would spend on an AGP card now and buy a giftcard to somewhere like newegg and keep buying those until they add up to enough to put together a better rig.

Yeah, all my friends are telling me to get a new computer because it is truly crap. Would an M11x Alienware labtop be good? I mean it is pretty cheap. My friend has a $5000 customized alienware desktop and it is pretty sick. I woudn't mind having a labtop. But would it be a good choice? I mean it is pretty cheap.. $900. After selling my keyboard and my monitor I got like $210 plus my other $150 which is $360 and i got myself like 1/3 of the price? Any other suggestions/recommendations. My days of asking for a graphics card are over since AGP is outdated nowadays. But will that HIS Radeon run TF2 smoothly? Because if it does, it might be a good choice. I mean, I got some good files that I need on my Xp. Just wanna know if I will be able to watch videos without lag and casually play tf2 like twice a week without lag. Just saw the reviews and was surprised that all of them were 5 stars and some 4.

Ah, I see it mixed in there now. I was mainly wondering if you had DDR2 RAM that you could reuse.. But how much would you be willing to spend on a new desktop?

Still you'd be better off with a desktop, so you would be able to upgrade anytime you want. Alienware is crap in my humble opinon. Get a desktop for $600 also buy a netbook for $200, and you are good to go.

Wait just to make sure, GummiRacoon, will that Graphics card you had posted about in the beginning run tf2 smoothly? Oh yeah and since I have a DDR2 nvidia geforce 6200 in a computer that has DDR ram will my yet-to-be HIS Radeon hd 4670 DDR3 work with my DDR1 Ram?

You don't need $5000 to run those games when $650 can give you the best performance with a Phenom II and a GTX460

If you've got $900 to put on a PC, forget about the Alienware garbage, and consider a custom build (whether you build it or self, or have some one build it for you (preferably not your mate, if he spent $5K on a Dell, he won't be very helpful)).

The AGP 4670 should run TF2 at decent frame rates depending on the resolution. I just think your money would be better spent somewhere else. The $112 you would be spending on the AGP version is almost 3 times what I spent on the PCIe version 2 years ago. AGP is old and dead. You could build a $500-600 computer that would tear through TF2 quite easily. That is what I would recommend.

I'd just hate for you to spend $110 on a graphics card, only to find out that you aren't satisfied with the result. Then, if you wanted a completely new computer, you'd have to buy another graphics card. No new motherboards have AGP, that I know of anyway. AGP is old and dead. It's not worth it to buy an AGP card today.

Listen to this man. Dont spend $112 to get an AGP card. Save $650 and build a pc like this one that will run every game on high settings and will allow you to upgrade down the road if need to

I have a feeling TF2 would still be unplayable even with a 4670. My secondary/web browsing system that houses a single core s754 Sempron @ 2.3GHz has trouble playing Tf2 at a playable framerate even when paired with an ATi 4850, and if I recall correctly, the P4's were quite a bit slower than even the Semprons clock-for-clock.

That could be. I have an older dual core (x2 5000+) with a 4670, and TF2 ran just fine. I bet your problem (and the TC's) is more of a CPU problem. That's why I recommended he save his money and get a new computer.

If that's the case, take a list of parts (which we can help you with) to a local PC store, and ask them to order and assemble it. Assembly shouldn't cost too much, about $50.
