This would be so great!! However I am not gonna build my hopes up, because I cannot see EA releasing a Sim City that is multiplatform and also complex enough to be enjoyable as a followup to Sim City.

A new good sim city would probably be the only strategy game that could get me away from Anno2070, still having a blast with that one.

Ahhh wonderful city builders/trading games :P

Sim City 2000 and Sim City 4 are two games ive spetn hundreds and hundreds of hours on :P

If only I could get into Sim Builders. - Tried the original Sim Cities and never could get into them - Tried Anno 2070 and it was too much for my brain - Even Cityville is overwhelming, lol...

I hope it's a new Sim City. That would be amazing. I doubt it though.

Very promising news, thanks for posting. A new SimCity would be awesome. The success of Anno 2070 might have helped the decision to make a new city builder.

I just remembered that Maxis made Spore too. Almost forgot about this one. "Simulation style game" could easily apply to a new Spore. I would clearly prefer something like SimCity over Spore though.

I played SC4 on my first PC with a Celeron 1.7GHz. What a pain that was!

I think I tried to do that on my P4. As far as I could remember, it was pretty smooth though! :P

For me, the series peaked at SC3k. I found 4 had too much micromanagement and Societies was too gimmicky.

If they just slapped some new jokes and an up to date skin on SC3k I'd be happy.

There was a big difference between P4 and P4 Celeron, especially the crappy 1.7GHz model that I had. But like I said, that was my first PC, what did I know haha.

Simcity 4 still runs like garbage when you set it to Hardware acceleration. You have to use Software.
