Just TRY installing the game(demo or wuthever) on your pc and get it to run properly(fiddling with low/high medium resolution , aa off , etc..).
if the framerate is acceptable and you"re content with the graphics ... BUY IT.
if not , uninstall and try another game.
okay dude you have a pentium 4 a p4 is a single core its got hyper threads though. anyway no you cant play red faction geurilla i know i own geurille i can play it on max on my system (barely) XD
im not suprised you cant play assassins creed. should have asked my CYRI megathread first. then you would know that you need a core 2 duo (a proper 2 core cpu) in order to play it.
The Rainbow Six games are garbage, don't even bother with them.
Try installing the games, see if they will run. If they do, fine, if not and you really want to play them, start saving up money and buy parts to build a new PC that will play them.

WhiteKnight77

I'm kind of new to this whole computer-gaming thing (I've played on my PS2 for a while now... just recently got a GameCube and a 360), and I don't know half a thing about processors. I recently bought a huge load of games, and I bought a graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 210), but, when I tried to play Assassin's Creed, it said my CPU wasn't good enough. These are the games I want to play: Red Faction: Guerilla Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind + expansions "Tribunal" & "Bloodmoon" The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Crysis: Maximum Edition Sacred Gold Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale Quake 4 Undying Pathologic Cryostasis: Sleep Of Reason Hitman 1-4 Doom 3 Call Of Cthulhu: Dark Corners Of The Earth Amnesia: The Dark Descent Penumbra 1-2 + expansion Gears Of War Fable: The Lost Chapters Jade Empire: Special Edition Medal Of Honor: 10th Anniversary Call Of Duty + expansion "United Offensive Battlefield 2 + expansion "Special Forces" Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars [+ expansion "Kane's Wrath"] Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight Battlefield 1942: The WWII Anthology Battlefield: Vietnam Devil May Cry 4 Dragon Age: Origins + expansion Bionic Commando Alone In The Dark Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood TimeShift Prey Project: Snowblind Far Cry 2 Assassin's Creed Dead Space I don't know anything about processors, but it said I had Intel Pentium 4 3.20 GHz (2 CPUs). What do I need to upgrade to to be able to play all of these games? I appreciate the help.Nyuugen
You are supposed to take a whole upgrade to your computer, almost 80% pc games are unable to be player with it
[QUOTE="Nyuugen"]OK, I just updated my list a little. .... Is the Pentium Dual-Core T4600 (2.30 GHz for both) CPU enough to play these games? If not, what games CAN I play with it?Nibroc420What's the graphics card? It seems I have a "Mobile Intel 4 Express Chipset Family".
1. Most PC games are limited by the graphics card, not the CPU.
2. That graphics card isn't good enough to run most games.
3. You pretty much need to buy a new computer at this point if you want to run some of those games on your list. You have a pretty outdated system.
Would you please stick to the point? I asked if my family computer's graphics card + CPU can play those games.Nyuugenthe people here are answering your questions to the best of their ability based on your limited knowlege of your system and answers. the least you can do is to try and be a little more patient and understand that they are trying to tell you what you need to know so that you can play the games that you want. besides they already answered your question about playing those games with the first comment on this page....
which is true. with your current build, you cannot run the majority, if any, of the games that you have listed. its just not powerful enough. and IF by some miricale you do manage a game to start the experience will be so terrible that you will not enjoy the game. imagine watching a VERY slow flipbook.Stick to 2D indie games or try playing some classics. You don't have a Gaming PC to run modern 3D games.

Once again, I'm not looking to play "modern" games. OK, let's just start with this: will my computer (the one with the GeForce 210 graphics card) play Prey and Project: Snowblind?Nyuugenthe second part of my statement covered your question. but to simply state it, no. the long version is ,not very well, for the few games that it might be able to play on your pc. 2D games will do pretty well, but 3D....no. BUT, if you already have them you can certainly gift some of those on over to me via steam and ill enjoy them for you :)
