I am not sure whether this will work but I need to know because i am quite desperate.

Would a 'PS3 component cable' connected to a 'Component coupler' which is then connected to a 'component to VGA cable' work? So i would basically be convereting PS3 component to VGA. That might look complicated but I am willing to do whatever it takes without buying a HD Fury Gamer Edition (because it is too expensive)

Thanx in advanved!!!

I simply do not know,

but check it out, maybe it works!?

as for what i know, having multiple connections and cable might decrease quality and picture speed...but who knows?!

unfortunatley I don't have the money to try it out. I will only buy it if I have confirmation. The only other thing I can think of is HD Fury but that is a expensive. I can't afford to waste money. The other thing is that N2VGA (whatever it is)looks like it does what what my idea does but is much more expensive so what is it doing that mine can't? Hmmmmm......

this whole ordeal would be made much simplier if they made a vga cable for the ps3 like they do for the 360................

Thats what HD fury and HDfury Gamer Edition do but they cost so much. They are also hard to buy in the UK cheaply and even that is about £60. I wish there was a simple solution because i don't want to spend £60 onanythingto find out it won't work. I am even unsure about HD Fury and whether it works for all non-HDCP monitors.

If you are looking to bypass HDCP protection with this method, I don't think it is going to work. As I understand it, HDCP is designed to work over encrypted digital connections like DVI or HDMI. VGA signals are analog, and fall under the same umbrella of "component video" as YPbPr.
