dude look deeeeeeeeeeeeep inside urself and ask yourself, what are the chances of a low end dx10 outperform a high end dx9 card??? just compare the 7300 to the 6800.Deamon321

i do, unless u can theres proof that says otherwise. but fo now its just speculation. for all we know the 8300 is liek a gforce 4.The low end Dx10 cards will be able to run Dx10 only games that no Dx9 card can run. Who says that a high end Dx9 cards will run Crysis better then a low end Dx10 card?

not trying to spread rumours but im sure somewhere there was some vague benchmarks for crysis...... from some german company ( could veyr easily be lies ) but it had a uber setup ( best avaiable at the time8800gtx SLI - Quad core )trying to run crysis on max settings and turning out very slowly.... but then again by the time crysis comes out the next set of graphics cards will be out G81 etc etc. by the time crysis comes to the mass market in a years time, im sure there will be graphics cards which can happily max it out, which i suppose is what the developers want, if you look at all games which are graphicly outstanding it seems to take a year or so for consumer hardware to catch up for example.
Half life 2, Fear, far cry, supreme commander all outstanding games but took 6-12months before mass consumer hardware caught up.
of course this is all my own oppion on the subject and is just speculation on the future......

By the time there are games that require directx 10 harwdare, the 8300 will be too bad. Kind of like a FX5200 being a directx 9 card but being too slow to play games like Far Cry or BF2Â at anything but the lowest detail setting.Â
Obviously a high-end directx 9 card will play Crysis much better and look better at similar framerate than a low-end directx 10 card.

a low end dx10 card such as the 8300 GT will not outperform a high end dx9 card such as the 7900 GTX. this is like comparing the FX5200 (a DX9 card) to the geforce4 Ti 4600 (a DX8 card). the ti 4600 will easily beat the 5200 in any game even though it is dx8. just bcuz a card is newer, it dsnt mean it is better unless u are comparing the same catagories such as high-end vs high-end in which case the newer will usually win.SLI_YoshiThat is very true, but its a fact that a dx9 card CAN NOT run in DX10 mode, and nobody knows the performance increase from dx9 to 10 so nobody knows which will out perform which.

We won't know till Crysis comes out if a high end Dx9 card will look better then a low-end Dx10 card. If the 8300 run Crysis prettier, All Dx9 cards will be worth squat which seems unlikely.
no see i mean obviously it can run it "prettier" but the cost of that prettyness will be that you get 10 fps. id rather have it at 40 fps maxed out on dx9 than 5fps maxed out on a 8300 with dx10[QUOTE="--JpR--"]is 8800 a good dx10 card?Generalkill8888No its terrible Its total trash everyone with them, bought the loewst crap dx10 card. IT cant even run in 32bit color mode. Yes its the only DX10 card out right now.
whats better 8800 or 7950?--JpR--8800 ofcourse! its DX10! As for the 8300GT, it is abit faster than a 7900GT, but this is a double sided sword it could swing both ways. It could run crysis in Dx10 at 1027*768 high 40Fps in DX10 or it could run it at bout 5fps and loose to a 7900GT ;) well have to wait till narch to find out its 'True' power as for now please by all means hold you breath or not! :P
is ibuypower.com a good website to buy comps?--JpR--Try www.newegg.com they Tottaly rock!
is ibuypower.com a good website to buy comps?--JpR--If you can build yourself, or if you know anyone that can build you a computer then do that, it will save you tons of money.

dx10 doesnt mean uber gaming performance, look at the dx9 cards, some are very fast whilst others are slowGigagamer2
dx10 doesnt mean uber gaming performance, look at the dx9 cards, some are very fast whilst others are slowGigagamer2DX10 is just released and most firms are still grasping all instruction sets that are available. They just started using them, they don't grasp the full potential of it yet because it's in such an early state. But with DX10 comes a newer generation of hardware with better specs. The better tech level and lower transistor size + added transistors, new PSB layout, low-level hardware optimisations, higher clocks, higher RAM freq., more and better RAM, new SM version and higher mem. interface all add to the better performance. It all goes hand in hand. You can have a great card, but if no games can use the full potential of it, it gets interpreted as a weak card, while in really, it really isn't.
