I don't really want one. I loved the first Matrix-movie. The two following craptastic efforts from Wachowski brothers ruined the whole trilogy for me. I still think the first movie is great, but every time I think "Matrix", all I can remember is the below average quality of Reloaded and Revolutions. I wish I never saw those.

A game based on the Matrix universe could turn out to be great, just keep those Wachowski morons off the project. If made by capable devs, it could even surpass the films (Riddick anyone?), not that it's all that hard...

I think "The Specialists" for Half Life should do the trick ;)

I however, want to see a Mad Max RPG (also ;) wink worthy ;) )

Meh, it'd be cool. But I have Enter the Matrix on PC, and I actually it. I was fairly satisfied with it, as I was expecting your typical subpar console port, but for a port it was pretty good. My point being that I don't feel all Matrix games so far have been crap. But there hasn't been anything spectacular, so a really high-quality Matrix game would be great, I guess.

Borderlandsis going to be the closest to Mad Max.

Enter The Matrix was pure crap.

Path Of Neo was good. Despite the bad graphics (the only quality were the destructible environments) and the bad first hour, the game was very enjoyable. Awesome combat system!

Yep that's what I've been hearing. I still have to see if I can find Fallout 1 & 2 on Amazon or something. But really, I think I'll be getting my post-apocalyptic fix in this year! Between Fallout 3, Borderlands, and Rage... good stuff.

I'm interested in Borderlands. The thing I like better about Mad Max (besides Mel) is the gritty realism. I dislike games about mutants and stuff like that. I would rather have a game about real people fighting for survival in the outback. Check out my blog, I made a post with some cool ideas.

I definitely agree with you there! I like mutants and monsters and stuff... but only in certain games. As is the case here, I'd usually rather have a gritty, realistic game about people fighting for survival in the outback. ;) But for now, looks like Borderlands will be the closest thing we can get to that vision.

Okay mad max would be alright. But the story would be too similiar to Max Payne. Wife and child killed, goes for revenge, cop etc.

We are not talking about that though: the matrix is where it is at. Sure we have had enter the matrix and that was okay (I've only played a little bit of it) but it was just a beat 'em up. Why can't we have a proper game that explores the realms of the Matrix and is perhaps just based on the first movie. (I quite like Reloaded myself lol - just don't mean Revolutions).

Based in the time just before Neo and Matrix one is what i would like to see. You are one of the resistance guys that goes into the Matrix similar to Morpheus group. I would like to see a sandbox or evern rpg game of the city you have the plotline missions but also side quests and exploratoin to an extent. Eluding the authorities would be primary to gameplay despite the resistance guys being "superpowered" compaed to regular matrix folk i wouldnt want a game where you plough through a1000 henchman.TPS(light on the S tho) is what i see in my head for what i would like to see.

But thats just a quick think on it id probably have more ideas later

No. no resistance figures or anything. Just a game based on the first movie.

The brothers behind the Matrix among other things was found guilty of stealing the story, so the legality of making new games is grey.

Agreed. We need The Specialist Source though haha, that would be awesome. I hope they're making it.
