A question about Bluteooth

I'm getting a pair of Sony headphones next. They are Bluetoothed. They come with an attachment that let's you play an iPod with them.

So, this is a question about pairing. how many devices can you have running through this at the same time?

That's what I thought. From a practical standpoint, it would get kind of confusing with multiple devices
