During the period when you're learning a new game, should your aim suck?
I've noticed that whenever I'm learning a new game my reflexes are a lot slower and I feel overwhelmed and somewhat Intimidated I guess.
It's what causes me to shoot team mates and react slower to enemies.
It's understandable that I would die a lot when learning a new game because more experienced players know tricks and maps, but shouldn't I be able to at least keep them in my crosshairs?
When I was younger, around 14 I used to play a lot of CS and some UT and Quake and from what I remember I had pretty damn good aim and was able to score headshots quite often.
Now, 6 years later my reflexes have somewhat slowed down. I'm sure the problem isn't just me, it's also my terrible 5 year old optical mouse meant for work not gaming and lack of a decent pad.
Is it possible that switching to slower games that focus more on team work caused my reflexes to degenerate?
How can I remedy this situations? It's really bugging me.
