I am definitely getting this game, but I haven't made up my mind on wheather to get it on PC or 360. Will there be and advantage one way or the other as far as content?

The lead dev of the game said himself that the PC version of the game would be the better version. If nothing else, it looks a LOT better than the 360 version. Not even ordinary multiplatform level of difference, I mean this was a PC game first, and console game second. The graphics on console are just plain bad compared to the PC version. Controls are a given better than the 360 version. The only reason the 360 version would be worth getting is that if you preorder it you get a few special weapons. But in a game that has several bazillion guns, a handful of new ones is nothing. And the PC version has an exclusive gun too anyway I believe, even without preordering.

I completely agree, although 360 has slitscreen, which is a plus... But other than that, the PC version will be the best choice, and it's cheaper. Also, where did you get that quote? Did he really say that. That makes me so happy.

Leave, now. Your PC forum privileges have been revoked forever. Also, I'd be willing to argue that almost any multiplat will look better on PC and in all FPS cases play better.

Not COMPLETELY true, but yeah, for the most part. Also, DOUBLE REVOKE for buying it on PS3. PS3 will by far give you the worst playing experience.

although 360 has slitscreen, which is a plus...

Splitscreen is a compromise not a plus. PC version you can hook up 3 monitors at a time and enjoy REALLY wide angle viewing pleasure

I'm getting the console version for two reasons. The ease of picking up a controller and playing, and the ease of multiplayer matching.

Someone knows if this game gonna be a port from consoles, as well as most games seems to be these days? Hope they'll make a PC version of the game and not a direct port from consols..

I hear it's a PC game first and foremost with consoles second.

Ugh, the only thing keeping me from purchasing the game for PC is the fact that if I want to just join a random multiplayer match, there's not a single layer of cheating prevention from what I understand. Like even the most basic stuff: aren't character files stored locally? It'd be like playing on Open Battle.net in Diablo II..

Not that character hacking couldn't also happen on the 360/PS3 versions..I just have a feeling it'll be a big issue on the PC version, to the point that I'd only play with friends, and would never feel comfortable joining random online matches.

I don't join random online matches ever for games like this. It's always too much of a hassle to deal with idiots. See: Left 4 Dead.

Yeah, I actually played a lot of Left 4 Dead, and generally only played with friends there.

Just pre-purchased Borderlands on Steam.

The only way to play L4D is with friends.

Also, we should do some Borderlands together. Oh, and does anyone know if mic support is confirmed? I would hope so.

I would assume so - otherwise the game would be a bad joke.
