So I just built a gaming machine:
evga 680i mobo; e6600 core 2 duo; 2gb XMS Dominator 1066mhz w/DHX; evga 8800gts; 4ms 19"widescreen lcd; Windows Vista 64bit home premium
And I just found the army is deploying me after I get back from basic later this year.
Does anyone know if I'm going to get to play crysis or any other DX10 title before I ship off around April-May or die on some stupid ass terrorist sea[run around with rifles, looking nothing like your surroundings]rch and destroy mission?
I keep up on all news relating to new releases, but i was hoping someone out there is a tester or dev that would know more than the media.

Ehh.. because he is willing to make your personal safety his personal responsibility. Just be gratefull there is someone out there to do that so you can sit around and play games without fear of being bombed or shot.
Ohh, and no one knows when crysis is coming out.
Well sorry man but i thinl frost is right, and come on peeps he is giving his personal time and life to make sure you guys can live, sad thing is that u guys are the ones playing video games about war and he is the one actually living it so get off his back and give him support and keep you mouths shut about things your video games dont simulate okayWhiteghoti
halo2_halo2_ha Don't worry about it too much. You can't dwell on the dangers in Iraq/Afghanistan or your deployment/rotation will be HELL! Just go out there and do your job like most of us guys out here and while out here, check up on news, talk to family and friends, do anything that will take your mind away for that moment. But once you're back outside the wire, hit the ground running, all games and jokes disapeer and it all business. Don't pay attention to some of these people out here on gamespot acting a fool. It may suck being out here in Iraq, but you're protection their right to act a fool. As far as the ones keeping politics out of gamespot and supporting service members I THANK YOU! Keep on coming with news, stories, games. Once we log on to gamespot, it's a break for all of us from what is going on over here. You hear a lot of stories the media pumps out, but ultimatelly we know the truth. Happines, helping others, and peace, does not sell nearly as much news papers and magazines as Horror, tragedy, murder, and killing.
