About ready to build my PC. How does this setup look?

Total: $1,048.42 + tax + shipping

Am I missing any essential components? I already have the hard drives (1x 125GB, 2x 500GB). I might go with an ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 motherboard, mainly because it has six SATA ports (as opposed to three on the Gigabyte) and I might be adding more drives. But it's also $80 more expensive than the Gigabyte and I wasn't sure if it was worth the money. Also, if I go with the Gigabyte, I might get the Antec Nine Hundred case instead (it's only $109 after instant rebate, and only $69 after mail-in rebate).

Also, I'd rather get the 32-bit Home Premium OEM, but Newegg apparently took it down. They only have the 3-pack available now.

As much as possible I'm trying to keep all this under $1,200 (excluding hard drives, since, clearly, I have more than enough of those :P)

4x1 or 2x2, either way, I'm getting 4GB. I'll most likely go with 2x2 by the time I actually do get this. The 4x1 was a leftover from when I was planning to only get 2GB.

2x2gb in dual channel mode is the way to go.

looked into it a bit more the Mobo you chose is bettter NVM

Seems agood pc so far but you were saying that you wanted to get Vists 32bit so dont forget that OS 32bit support only 3gb !!SearchMaster

Yeah, I know that. But I haven't seen much reason one way or the other whether to go 64-bit or 32-bit, other than some possible incompatibility issues. Since this is going to be an entirely brand-new PC, though, I don't think I'll run into those issues too often, if at all.

Get a faster dual core CPU instead of quad core. Nothing even supports quad yet and by the time they do your dual core will be old and you'll want to upgrade again anyway. i'd take a look at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037Trilvester

I actually did consider that same CPU, but another thing I use my PC for is to encode videos. A LOT of videos. And I multitask a LOT (sometimes I play games while watching a video on the side), so I thought quad-core would benefit me more in that regard.

Should I get this or the Antec 900, which is even cheaper ($69 after MIR)? The Thermaltake has a LOT of 5.25 drive bays, but my mobo only has four SATA and one PATA connections, so there doesn't seem to be much point in me buying a huge case like the Thermaltake Armor.
