So when's this thing comming out anyways? I think I read somewhere Dec. 11th. How much will it be and will it be any better than the 8800GT? I'm still debating on whether or not to order the 8800GT now or wait for the revised 8800GTS.Any recomendations?

Supposedly the new GTS will be a better performer than the GT. It will be coming out in a week or so. It will be a bit more expensive than the 8800 GT.

From the benchmarks. Its not too much better than a GT, but it has yet to be seen how far it can overclock with the 2slot cooler.

It's slightly faster then the 8800 GT. Infact you could probably overclock the GT to perform slighty faster then the new GTS. It's not worth upgrading to IMO if you already own a 8800 class card.

i saw some benchmarks form a canadian website and the GTS is better mainly in higher res and DX10 games. when it comes to low res DX9 games the GT outperforms it in many tests. its not till those higher res and DX10 games come into play where its better. the GTX still remains on top out of the three though. heres the site i got the info from

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/3173-evga-8800gts-640mb-w-112sps-ssc-edition-review.html

the reason its running better on higher res is because of the VRAM. since it has 640mb its able to load textures at a faster rate than the GT is able to at higher resolutions

hope this helped
