Ok guys so like the title says, im about to install the game. I am quite excited to play this game due to the fact that Demons Souls was so hard and amazing, that just completing it was a personal achievement. So, what mods should I download for Dark Souls? I'd like to play the game on 1080p if possible. Thanks in advance!

Just download DSfix; change resolution and improve graphics with it and you're set.

I've been using dsfix 1.9 and it works wonderfully. Use 1.4 if you run into issues.

Kk thanks dude.

I've been using dsfix 1.9 and it works wonderfully. Use 1.4 if you run into issues.

Ive tried 1.9 and 1.4 and I can't seem to turn off vsync. There's no vsync on from DSfix, and I've even completely disabled it through the control panel, but my framerate still bounces sporadically from 30 to 15, and won't run at anything in between. Someone told me to use the framerate unlocker in 1.9, but the game won't even start with that on.

It's at the bottom (dsfix.ini):

# The following settings are only functional if either forceFullscreen or forceWindowed is enabled
# The display width/height
presentWidth 1280
presentHeight 720
# turn on/off Vsync
enableVsync 0
# adjust display refresh rate in fullscreen mode - this is NOT linked to FPS!
fullscreenHz 60

Yeah, i've got Vsync off there. Still wants to run at 30 or 15, and nothing in between.
