Case: Apevia X-Jupiter

Drive: ASUS SATA DVD-ROM

CPU: Intel Wolfdale E8400 3.0 GHz

HDD: WD 320GB HDD

Memory: OCZ Reaper 2GB(2x1GB)

PSU: OCZ GameXStream 700W

Mobo: ASUS P45 Mobo

GPU: ASUS ATi Radeon HD4850 512MB

OS: MS Windows VISTA

So, ya.

And I have a question. The motherboard's Memory Standard is 1200MHz but could I still use that memory which is 800MHz or some thats's 1066MHz, since 1200MHz is kinda expensive and there isnt any with good ratings at Newegg. And lower latency is bette, right? Would a 4 latency 800MHz or 5 latency 1066MHz ram be better?

my suggestion, your going to game and your gaming on vista, 2 gigs isnt gonna cut it

i reccomend you get these, 4 gigs, solid company and jst a bit more than what you already had. oh and how bout getting two 160 gig HD's instead of that 320 and raid 0 them?

The OCZ memory you listed is good enough, no need for 1200 mhz. Non overclocked the memory will have a frequency of 667 mhz.

As long as it is DDR2 it will work in the mobo.

Great rig btw! :)

Happy gaming!

Kk, Thanks guys. Gonna order first thing tomarrow, hoping I'll get it on Monday.

Anyways, I might be getting a new monitor, but I'm wondering about omething. Instead of starting a new topic I'll ask here.

I'm thining either 19" or 20". Now 19" has a recommended resolution of 1440x900, and 20" has 1680x1050. Now, I don't really want to run games at 1680x1050, so I don't take a big performance hit. Is it bad to run a monitor at a lower resolution then recommended? So would it be better to get the 19" and run it at 1440x900 or a 20" and run it at 1440x900?

Thanks again.

With that gpu youll run 1680x1050 all day long no problem. Get the 20" or 22" @ 1680x1050 it will be well worth it.

Okay, thanks. Um, I was just looking at some PSU topics...Will that PSU be enough if I decide to throw in a second 4850? And with that will I be able to OC some things a touch?

Just wanna make sure...

The PSU should handle 2 4850 very easily.

The problem is the mobo it doesnt perform that well for crossfiring 4850. maybe changing it for any x38 will make it better if you plan to crossfire in the future :)

Its made for crossfire but its not as good as the X38 or X48 its bottlenecked by the 8/8 lines while the x38/48 have 16/16 lines.

World in Conflict P45 vs X48 Crossfire

Crysis P45 vs X48 in Crossfire

You should reconsider :P

For the case i'd look into the Raidmax Smilodon. Fold out mobo tray, tool-less, and little crap like an accessory tray. Plus it looks badass.

Nah, I think I'll pass to be honest. I'm trying to stay at $1,000 after shipping with a nice combo deal on that mobo, and the P45 looks fine enough for me. I mean, its gonna be a big improvement anyway...

P45 is a very good and stable mobo
