Hello, so the other day I was accused of cheating on COD4 for no reason except for the fact that I was kickin ass. I had 21 kills and 5 deaths and was in no was cheating at all.. I have also been accused of cheating in Halo, and FEAR only because I was doing really good. Has this ever happened to you? I would never cheat in a multi player game. To me that would be like buying a puzzle and gluing the pieces together to make 2 big pieces... How fun is that going to be to put together??
Almost everyone accuses almost everyone else of cheating when they're doing well.
There are three realistic things you can do:
Ignore them. They're are just whining because they're not as good as you.
Change servers. Find servers where there is a higher standard of player. Clan servers. Places where you won't do as well, or where the people you're beating will know you're not cheating.
Start playing worse. Okay, so this is stupid, but I said there are three things you can do and I can't think of anything else. I'm stikcing with my original plan. Three things.
Really, the best thing to do is just ignore them. Baseless claims are the foundation of internet society. Unless they can actually do something about it - like get you kicked or banned, they are harmless. I've never personally been accused of cheating, but the only online FPS games I was ever really good at were Rogue Spear and TF2, and both have pretty mellow communities.
Accused of cheating for having a 21:5 kill/death ratio? Thats a pretty piss poor excuse to accuse someone of cheating on. Its the norm for me to get a 5:1 kill death ratio in every game usually, wonder what they'd say when they see me with a 50:10 kill/death ratio lol.
Just ignore the accusers and carry on playing, rising to the bait will only result in smack talk and reduce the fun for everyone on the server. Half the time people accuse better players at cheating because they cannot accept the fact some people are better than they are or that its possible to get 21:5.
Unless of course you were getting a lot of headshots and not using a sniper rifle in which case then i understand why you may have gotten accused of cheating. Whatever the current hack for COD4 is it seems to be an auto-headshot aimbot since every hacker i've seen was only caught because he/she kept getting a headshot for every kill.

It happens. I've been banned a number of times from various different servers over the years for supposedly cheating.
Had it happen often, mainly in CS, worst was when a group of people were playing that were friends and knew the admin.. one of them accused me of cheated because i killed him (was behind him) and he started whinging that he couldn't see me when he died so i must be cheating.. i was banned.
In CS thats a pretty common thing which ruins the game. People are just bad sports and cant handle the fact that someone out there could just be better than them (or get a lucky shot).
the only thing more annoying than cheaters are the paranoid guys who think everyone is cheating. I don't pay a lot of attention to it, but I remember back with Counter Strike 1.6 I was getting banned for having 2-1 K/D ratio's.

Oh right i never new the term sandbagging before, i did for a moment think you mean't teabagging which i know from watching many a youtube video about Halo players and XBL users lol.
I used to take that as a compliment now I just find it annoying. When I get booted for being a good player or using a programmed item intelligently and skillfully I just think the online community, for both PC and console, has become a wasteland of prepubescent morons who think they are "all that" and cannot accept a loss, no matter how small.
It is pretty much the reason I've given up on online gaming in general. It is just too much to handle when you are constantly berated by children for being more skillful than they are and they cannot take a loss respectfully. I will continue to play LAN games and perhaps in future join some kind of clan but I really think my days of playing online with random people around the world are over. It is unfortunate but that is what the community has become for the most part.

That's not kicking ass.... I was doing like 30 kills without dieing using a sniper rifle in some map, got an airstrike, got alot of kills, called in a helicopter, and all without dieing...:D
Over the past month i've been accused to cheating on COD4 at least three times.
Once person said I was using wall hacks to see through walls, a few days later he accused me of camping between two spawn points.
A few days back I was accused of spawn killing, after a few swears words where exchanged he said he say me near a spawn point lying down with a SAW spawn killing. The problem with his story is I don't use a SAW so it wasn't me. :roll:
I used to get accused of cheating a lot back with Quake 2 deathmatch. Quite often I would finish off a round on top with no deaths and people would get angry. They also tended to accuse me of camping even though I never stopped moving during a round. I've had similar things happen in many of the newer games. Too many newer players will accuse you of cheating just because you show more skill than them and they assume the only way you can be that good is to cheat. Unfortunately it's all been part of online gaming from almost the begining and it's only gotten worse with time as more players join the fun.
K/D != skills. Try playing on servers with better players. I've gone 97:11 just because the other team sucked (CoD4). Play clan matches if you don't want to be called a hacker. Rarely is someone called a hacker in professional matches.
