I'm going to update my archaic amd3500/A8Nsli/2gig ddr to a Q6600/P35/2gigDDR2-800. I'm planning on keeping my vid card, hdd, sound card, etc. However, I haven't ever done this type of "remodel" job, just built new ones from scratch.

My question is, will I run into any trouble by taking out the current mobo/cpu/memory and adding a new mobo/cpu/memory, with all my remaining components?

Just checking before I blow something up. Thanks. :)

You shouldn't run into any problems really. Just watch out for your PSU though.

Yes What he's really saying is make sure your PSU has a high enough wattage and can deliver the right level of current to accomodate all your new hardware, i.e. check the power requirments of your new hardware first and if they're too high then you might need a new PSU too.

Your PSU should be fine if you don't change the video card because with Q6600 instead of Athlon 64 you will need

only ~40W more
