I bought 40 inches Samsung TV and I hooked it up via HDMI cable to my video adapter . Now I have two displays practically - monitor Asus hooked up via DVI cable and the TV hooked up via HDMI . The problem is that the picture which is being shown on the monitor doesn't come out the same on the TV . There's only the main windows screen and the taskbar shown on the TV while on the everything's ok . Is there a way to fix this , I mean to have the same picture on both screens ?

This isn't a software support forum...
Also you didn't mention what OS you have.

But I'm going to guess you have some version of Windows, for Windows XP to get a mirrored image you need special software or shut down the PC, disconnect one monitor, start up the PC and then connect the second monitor, the images should then be mirrored.
In Windows 7, goto the control panel and graphics settings, then under resolution settings chose mirrored image.

Does your monitor and TV have different resolutions? If they do, that can't be mirrored exactly. Lower the resolution of either the TV or the Monitor to find one that is common with both.

Windows 8 is fine and likely not the problem. Just out of curiosity, are you only running a total of two monitors or is there a third display in this setup? The error message:

THE DISPLAY SETTINGS COULD NOT BE SAVED . TRY A DIFFERENT COMBINATION

Typically shows up when attempting to configure three or more displays when the hardware configuration only supports a maximum of two.
