Which gun is better?

Because I'd say the Franchi SPAS-12 is best for dispatching rival sack persons.

I'm guessing you're talking about BF3. I tried the FAMAS for a while, but I didn't like it; the recoil movement was too erratic for my liking. I haven't gotten around to unlocking the AEK-971 yet; been having too much fun playing engy :P

M16A3 is easily the best AR, AEK is super unbalanced I think in some aspects.

You can try it out if you're playing as the U.S.; the M16 is the default U.S. Assault weapon. I believe it's no different than the one that is "unlocked' with experience.

You can unlock the m16A4, you start with the m16A3... the AEK is unbalanced and will be fixed with the patch... the initial recoil is to low, so you get a high rate of fire at a reasonable accuracy... I find that more people use the AEK than the famas, therefore I aslo would go for the aek, but also depending on map.

The m16a4 is the current issue weapon or recently was I dun remember but is way moar common than a3

The M16A3 is an unlock for both factions later on. I didn't find the M16A4 or M4 very useful because of the 3-round burst restriction TBH, though I'm unsure if there are any other differences between the M16A4/M4 and M16A3/M4A1.

I'm usually found dicking around as engy with an A-91, Kobra sights, and foregrip. I haven't played as Assault much, but if I had to pick a favorite primary, I'd probably choose either the M416 or M16. They seemed to handle nicely in the limited time that I used them.

I'd have to say that this is something that really boils down to personal preference though. I like the A-91, M416, and M16 for their low and consistent recoil; I had a hard time handling the likes of the FAMAS or G36C because of their high horizontal jutter. But in the right hands, I imagine that one could do incredibly well with the FAMAS or G36C if they're adept at tap firing, or perhaps have a way of keeping on target even when the sights want to move all over the darn place :P

Do people frequently use the change fire button? I use it on the AN94 when engaging at looong ranges, and the 2shot burst from AEK when going to medium distance...

I really do wish DICE would bring back the XM8. No gun has ever been better to me then that beauty, and with an XM8 in my hands I rarely had less then a 3.0 k/d to contend with in any match type in any map.

AEK is a beast. Keep using it until you get the M16. M16 beats all other guns hands down

when you guys refer to the m16, you are talking about the m16a4, with burst fire?

use an-94 instead :cool:

I have a real preference for the AN-94 personally :P (I prefer mid range combat, but it holds its own up close).

Our of the two you listed, the AEK is be better gun, altho a bit imba.

the Famas, if you can use it, is fairly good, but sometimes it feels like there is some real errors in coding with that gun, the famas really should only be used in burst mode, or single shot, if you flick to full auto it will ruin your day, period.
